Lesson #15:  Veterinarian

The Veterinarian Folder is for recording veterinarian services and costs.  To save accurate veterinary reports HorseBiz has included Category and Item fields. 

Veterinarian

The Veterinarian field is used to enter the name of the veterinarian. You can enter as many veterinarians as you would like.  They will all be saved in your address book.

Category

Category is a broad service description.  To ensure accurate reports, think carefully about each new Category you enter and its corresponding Items.

Category is used to enter the Category of the Item. We have included 3 general categories; you can easily enter other categories by simply selecting the name of the Category.

Item

Item is used to enter the Category Item.  We have included general items under each Category; you can easily enter other items by simply typing the name of the Item in the field.

The Item is a specific description of the service provided for each Category.

For example,

Category           Item

General             Worming

                       Vaccination

Breeding           Palpating

                       Preg Check

                       Ultra Sound

Emergency         Stitches

Next Due

The Next Due field is used to keep track of when that specific Category and Item needs to be done again.  (For example, your next worming would be setup with a due date, while emergency stitches would not require a due date)

Completed

If there is a Next Due date, then 'No' should be entered.  Once the service has been completed, change this field to 'Yes'.  Continual updating of this field is necessary to ensure accurate veterinary reports. 

Lesson #16:  Year End Awards

Year End Awards can be recorded for each horse. 

Using the HorseBiz Reports, you can generate a history of your horse's awards.

Tracking is easy and fun.  You can track awards by:

• Year
• State
• Association
• Class
• Results
• Award

The Notes feature allows you record any additional information that you would like to save.
