What is the Master Record?
The Master Record is used to keep track of inventory and feed purchases that are not tied to an individual horse. Use the Master Record to keep track of Categories of items for inventory or for insurance purposes. We have started you off with two Categories -- Tack and Vehicles.
For example, if you bought a saddle that cost $4,000 and you want to add it to your inventory of tack and have insurance on it. You would choose the Category of Tack and Saddle from the dropdown Item field. Then you would input the rest of the information that is applicable.
Another example for feed.
if you purchase feed by the load and want to keep track of purchases, use the Feed folder under the Master Record. Input the date purchased, the type of feed you can use our choices or type in your own, and the cost. Use the notes area to or other information that is pertinent to the Feed record, such as "Bought this load of alfalfa hay from Farmer Brown but it was a little green. I think he put it up too early but it looks pretty good. His second cutting should be better."
You cannot delete the Master Record. You can input an unlimited amount of records under the Feed and Inventory folders when you are on the Master Record.
