Lesson #1: First Things First
HorseBiz is an equine management software program that allows you to keep horse records, track horse activities, reports, planning calendars and more!
HorseBiz has a multitude of features to manage every detail of your horse activities.
Intuitive features mean first-time users and experts alike can maintain data effortlessly; it's easy to install and start using immediately.
To assist you in using HorseBiz, simply hold the mouse cursor over any field when in the Add or Edit mode and a brief description of how to use the field will pop up.
The fastest way to get started using HorseBiz is to review the sample data we have entered in for you. Reviewing the sample data will answer most of your questions about using HorseBiz software.
We have also input sample data so you can see how the product works. We have entered four sample horses and their data for you to review. Take a few minutes to look at the information in each Folder, the address book and the Report and Pedigree sections.

Lesson #2: Add a New Horse
Adding a horse is very easy. Click on the Add Horse button or go to File/Add Horse.
You can begin entering information about that horse. Information such as Name, Birth date, Registration Number, Breed, Sire, Dam,
Sex, Color, Marking, and Height can be recorded.
Go to the Horse Tab. You now have the opportunity to select an owner.
If you are the owner, add your ranch. If the owner is another party, select Add owner.
If you are adding a New Owner, you will be taken to the Address Book. There you can record the address and other personal information about the new contact. You can also identify the type of Contact from the list provided as Owner, Vet, Ferrier, Client, etc. Remember a Contact can be listed in multiple categories. He could be an Owner and a Trainer for example.
If you purchased the Horse, you can add the Purchase Price and from whom you purchased the horse.
If there is special information that you would like to save that does not have a category, use the Notes section. That way all the information that you wish to save is available.
